Has good ideas on plant groupings, i.e., butterfly or humming bird plants, there sun requirements, hardiness zones and growth heights. Burpee www.burpee.com Remarks: A venerable US seed company. Great for vegetables. Website also has a zone finder, where you enter your zip code and you find out what your hardiness zone is. Has tips on proper watering, fertilizing, mulching techniques for the plant type chosen. along with other related articles.

Another old and respected US seed company. Both website and catalogue have lots of useful information. Huge selection of vegetable seeds.

A company that specializes in breeding and selling seeds of heirloom varieties of flowers and vegetables. Many varieties are not hybrids and produce fertile seeds the gardener can collect and use the next year.
